Great food and great shows in the theater

This is one of my favorite places to eat, have a great cup of coffee and fresh chicken salad. Dana, the owner, is the best! Her place used to be near the Independence Monument. A few years ago, she relocated to Tuol Tumpong, not too far from the market. She also has a branch in Tuol Kork. The one in Tuol Tumpong has a theater. She does readings, even poetry slam there. She shows films produced by local and international artists. She does exhibitions of work by local artists. HerJava Creative has expanded into the Factory of Friends, getting young people to think outside the box, promoting various forms of creativities. I always enjoy going there because it’s not just a cafe, but a place to see plays, listen to readings, and see certain exhibitions of the visual art. By spending your money there, you’re supporting her business and the job she provides to the local people.

What a beautiful place in Toul Kork! Love how the space is arranged and the menu is really diverse - burgers, soups, salads and freshly baked pastry and bread. Java is an iconic place for Phnom Penh and this location is really nice! Recommend for brunches, lunches and just a cup of coffee. Also if you look for a place to work, check this out!
